Michelle Carney
Michelle is a purpose-driven, values-led leader with a diverse and accomplished career spanning the charity, international NGO, commercial sport, and professional sport sectors. She has a proven track record of transforming organisations, building high-performing teams, and driving innovation to create significant social impact.
Michelle’s expertise includes governance, strategy, finance, and organisational change, having led major transformations at organisations such as Special Olympics Great Britain and an innovative charity & social enterprise in Africa. She has worked with globally recognised organisations including Comic Relief, Commonwealth Games, and Cisco, advising on strategy, fundraising, and social impact initiatives.
As the founder of Purpose Driven Impact Consulting, Michelle provides consultancy support to clients around the world, offering interim C-suite leadership and strategic advice. She is also an expert public speaker, frequently presenting on resilience, leadership in adversity, and the power of inclusion and diversity. Holding a Master’s degree in Leadership & Organisational Change and an Honorary Doctorate from Leeds Beckett University for her outstanding contribution to sport,
Michelle is passionate about empowering others through mentoring, coaching, and speaking engagements. A recognised advocate for social change, she has contributed extensively to global conversations around neurodiversity and inclusion, constantly pushing the boundaries of innovative thinking to create more inclusive and sustainable environments..

We are walking the walk at Purpose Driven Impact Consulting. We are passionate about being authentic and impact driven in our work - especially when supporting businesses, sports properties, agencies, rights holders and brands to be more inclusive.
Our team is further strengthened by three Associate Consultants, each bringing unique perspectives and skills shaped by their experiences with intellectual and learning disabilities. Their involvement enriches our approach, ensuring that our strategies are not only inclusive but also deeply informed by diverse viewpoints.
Our founder Associate Consultants are all successful business entrepreneurs in their own right and have operated globally.
Michael Beynon
Businessman, Baker, Sportsman, Author, Rotarian, and Mencap Myth Buster
Michael Beynon is a multi-talented entrepreneur and advocate, breaking barriers in business, sports, and inclusion. As a businessman, he made history as the first entrant with a learning disability to win the Wales Food and Drink Award for Up-and-Coming Entrepreneur of the Year (2022). His passion for baking earned him the Good Food Award for his renowned Welsh cakes.
In sport, Michael has achieved two Guinness World Records

Kate Grant
Model, Entrepreneur, Multi Award Winner, Social Media Influencer & Global Advocate. Kate has spoken on stages all over the world, including the UN, she has worked with a large number of major brands and walked the catwalk at London Fashion Week.
“I’m Kate Grant. When I was 19, I became the first model in the UK & Ireland with Down Syndrome. I use my platform as a model to raise awareness of inclusion, diversity and equity of people of difference.
The world is changing and it’s vital that society becomes accepting to people of difference so it can be a better place for us all.”
Marcus Mason-Williams
Marcus Mason-Williams is a multi-talented artist and entrepreneur. He is a founding member of the government-backed campaign, The Lilac Review, highlighting the value of disabled-led small business owners. His greetings cards, storytelling and merchandise business, CoolArt2021, showcases his passion for wildlife and the natural world and is influenced by his autism.
